My Skills
What I am capable of, and challenge myself in everyday, is in my opinion not even a pin drop of what I could know.
In this industry one would be a fool to think they "know it all"
I love a challenge and if there is something I don't know, I will figure it out, because at the end of the day that is another weapon
I can use in my collaboration of "shortcuts, tips-n-tricks, ducks & dives, and overall knowledge"
to create something the market doesn't know it needs yet.
DTP Operator /Prepress
This industry has taught me the fundamentals of design and how to apply the the basics to any design to alleviate difficult fault finding and printing problems later in the job.
Photo and Image Retouching
I think without the knowledge of this skill, one would certainly end up with inferior imagery! Mostly this skill is self taught in terms of application, but the core knowledge I acquired for perfecting this skill goes back to DTP and making Chromalins, which where 100% skin and other tone perfect and knowing what would be more appealing to the eye.
Adobe Creative Suite
I am fluent in most Adobe applications:- Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign and Acrobat Pro, these I would say are my strongest.
I have a basic working knowledge of
Premiere Pro and Final Cut.
I am also always finding new ways to integrate between applications that were never meant to see eye to eye!
I am competent enough in most
applications to achieve pretty much
any task given to me.
Conceptual Creativity
I thrive on making the seemingly impossible, possible. Surprisingly enough, what may seem difficult is actually quite often very easy to achieve.
Sometimes getting stuck and forcing yourself to learn something new is he best way to produce work that you never have before, and in return reaching your end
goal with not only a new bespoke
once of piece, but also having gained new knowledge in the process.
Good design is a matter of discipline. It starts by looking at the problem and collecting all the available information about it. If you understand the problem,
you have the solution. It's really more about logic than imagination.
